Julia Menadel is a ceramic artist from St.
Petersburg. At present she sculps mostly Angels.
“Angels mean to me the energy of light, love, harmony, tenderness, strength and power, which passes through my hands and turns out into a material form.”
HOW DID IT START?
Angels have revealed as a result of a long and
comprehensive spiritual and mental
development. Since 2012, Julia has studied aura-
soma, a color code system, which, among other
things, inquires 72 Angelic energies. Julia has
been disposing herself to the Angels meditating
every day for several years.
Two years after in April 2014, being on Malta on
expedition to the places of the Earth power, she
realized, that clay was the perfect material for
embodying Angels’ energies.
In November 2015 Julia starts making flat Angels. Having a technical background, she had not previously worked with clay neither engaged in art. Every attempt in modeling is instinctive. Julia experiments with different professional ceramists, participating in various workshops,
travels. By September 2017, having created 360 (72 * 5) flat angels, she develops the new work formula and the first spatial Angel appears. Since then, they are permanently coming into being
from the masters’ hand.
The Angels have hundreds of friends all over the
world. In 2018 and 2019, Julia participated in the
Russian and international exhibitions: on Cyprus,
in Syktyvkar, Komi, in Senlis, France, and in
Moscow. Her first solo exhibition took place in
May 2021 in St. Petersburg.
And in April 2022, Julia launches her gift project
without restrictions on cities and countries.
Angel in the home is intended to discover new
manifestations of a person and link him or her to
the other Angels’ owners.
